I’m Jamie Ward, the writer behind Cornfields and High Heels, a lifestyle and travel website that inspires readers to explore new places, taste new foods, and find joy in the everyday.
Since August 2017, I’ve been an active travel writer and content creator, sharing stories from Indiana and beyond. I’ve authored a book called “100 Things To Do In Indiana Before You Die” and co-authored “Midwest Road Trip Adventures“ (1st and 2nd editions) and “Midwest State Park Adventures.” I’m thrilled to announce that my upcoming book, “Secret Indiana: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure,” is coming soon!
As a member and leader in several travel organizations, I regularly share my travel experiences through a variety of platforms, including Wanderful, a travel website and community designed for women. As the HUB Leader for Wanderful Indianapolis, I am responsible for writing travel stories and providing resources. My experiences have been featured in prominent media outlets like Fox 59 News, Indy Now, and the Indianapolis Business Journal.
With my marketing and public relations expertise, I work as a freelance writer, content creator, and consultant. I collaborate with clients, including visitor bureaus, economic development agencies, small businesses, destinations, and tourism organizations.
