The Grind Coffee Co. Cafe & Mercantile, Knightstown

The Grind Coffee Co. is a family-owned and operated café created to be more than just a place for caffeine; it’s “crafted for community and inspired by tradition.” Its welcoming gathering space is designed for families, friends, and kids looking for a safe, comfortable spot to hang out after school.

The café serves Utopian Coffee beans, roasted in Fort Wayne, alongside a wide menu that goes well beyond espresso. Guests can enjoy specialty coffee drinks, lemonades, iced teas, smoothies, slushies, kid-friendly drinks, and even immunity boosters. The food menu delivers baked goods, soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads, kolaches, gluten-free pastries, and even Graeter’s Ice Cream for a sweet finish. Hosting a meeting or event? Their 160-oz “Brew-to-Go Boxes” make caffeinating a crowd easy.

The Grind is also pet-friendly, welcoming well-behaved pups on the outdoor patio. Four-legged visitors can sip on Pupuccinos, while feline friends are treated to Meowccinos.

With ample seating throughout the café, The Press is a great spot for catching up with friends, casual work sessions, or meeting business connections. For more focused gatherings, a private meeting room accommodates groups of 8 to 12 people.

Cafe Royal Coffee House, New Castle

Cafe Royal Coffee House has been a gathering place in the Henry County community since opening its doors in 2009. Known for its extensive menu, the café uses micro-roasted, fair-trade coffee and espresso beans to create its coffee beverages. For those looking to sample a little of everything, Cafe Royal also offers coffee, cold brew, and tea flights.

But coffee is only part of the story here. Cafe Royal serves a robust food menu with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert available daily. Grace & Co Coffee, Middletown (Opening Soon)

Grace & Co Coffee is brewing (literally) something special in downtown Middletown. Owner Sarah Russell is opening the new coffee shop in a revitalized building, which will bring Middletown its first-ever coffee shop.

Originally launched in 2024 as a mobile coffee business, Grace & Co Coffee is now expanding into a brick-and-mortar space designed to be a cozy, inviting gathering place for neighbors to meet, study, work, or simply slow down. The shop’s focus will be on supporting Indiana roasters, bakers, and local vendors.

Stacks Restaurant, New Castle

Stacks Restaurant in New Castle offers more than a standout breakfast and lunch menu. At the front of the restaurant, an in-house Café Neo Coffee Bar serves espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and whole-bean coffee for purchase.

Guests can grab a strong cup of coffee or try one of Stacks’ legendary Greek coffee drinks, including the popular Freddo Espresso, at the counter, while dining in, or through online ordering and pickup. All drinks are crafted using their own private-label Amaliada Café Neo espresso, delivering a bold, authentic flavor. Summit Lake Market, New Castle

Located just down the road from Summit Lake State Park, Summit Lake Market is an ideal stop before or after a day outdoors. This unique market is primarily known for its artisan coffee floats, made with single-batch roasted, organic coffee from Greenfield Coffee Company and Sundae’s second-generation hard ice cream. Whole bean bags from Greenfield Coffee Company are also available for purchase.

In addition to coffee floats, the market serves freshly brewed coffee, cold brew, hot tea, and chai. Beyond coffee, Summit Lake Market is a Christian camp store that offers camping essentials, snacks, gifts, and ice cream. Grab a hot cup of coffee and relax on the screened-in porch, where the pace slows, and the setting invites you to linger just a little longer.

Check the Market’s Facebook page for their hours, as they often close for a few weeks in the winter.
