A World-Class Racing Experience
New Castle Motorsports Park is a New Castle-based racing facility that attracts competitors from across the Midwest and beyond. The park’s courses include a one-mile road course with a 950-foot back straight, multiple track configurations, and professional-grade amenities, including a MyLaps Scoring System, a 28-foot track width, and paved pit areas.
Serious racers compete here, and the NCMP regularly hosts local, regional, and national events, including major touring series such as the United States Pro Kart Series and SuperKarts! USA. It’s also home to the Kart Racers of America, which brings race weekends with hundreds of entries throughout the season.
Open to the Public for Racing
You don’t need your own race kart to race here! The park is open to the public for rentals and racing during designated public sessions. While many racers bring their own karts, NCMP makes the experience accessible to everyone. Visitors can rent karts and hit the track themselves, making it easy to challenge friends and family to a racing showdown. For families and groups, multi-ride packages offer an even more affordable option.
- Road Course rentals are available to ages 14+ and include a full one-mile circuit in karts powered by 6hp Honda engines. The cost is $25 for 10 minutes or $65 for 1 hour.
- Slick Track Oval (Height requirement: 54″) offers a shorter, high-grip oval track designed for fun, fast-paced racing. The cost is $10.50 for 5 minutes.
Experience NCMP Beyond the Track
A visit to New Castle Motorsports Park is an experience and is designed for full-day activities. Its amenities are made for racers and spectators alike. The park features an on-site, trackside restaurant, Racers Grill, which serves breakfast and lunch on race days, along with snacks and drinks to keep you fueled. For longer stays, the facility offers full-hookup RV parking and rental garages. Additionally, a 2,000-sq-ft kart shop is on site.
Group outings are particularly popular here. The second-story Champions Club provides space for private events, complete with seating, televisions, and a wet bar. A notable feature is a line of corporate rental karts equipped with Honda GX200 engines, resembling real racing karts. From corporate team-building events to parties and celebrations, NCMP can transform a gathering into a full-scale racing event. Organized races and catering options are also available!
A Racing Legacy
NCMP is home to the former legendary Robopong 200 TaG Endurance Race from 2005 to 2013. This race drew in top-tier drivers, including Indy 500 champions Dan Wheldon, Scott Dixon, Josef Newgarden, and Will Power. It’s not uncommon for future racing stars to sharpen their skills right here in Henry County!
Plan Your Visit
NCMP is typically open Tuesday through Sunday, and is closed on Mondays. Hours may vary with race events and track schedules, so it’s advisable to check their website and social media page before visiting. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a first-time driver, New Castle Motorsports Park offers a fun experience for everyone!
