My Favorite Creek Stomping Essentials

Whether you are making your way to a creek, river, lake, or waterfall, you’ll need the right attire and essential to enjoy it! I’m sharing a list of my favorite essentials for the best water and nature fun. It’s taken an error or two on my part to learn that some things you NEED to a good creek stomping experience.

Whether you purchase through here, or in-store, water shoes are necessary for creek-stomping. With dangers such as slippery rocks, water snakes, and sharp debris to consider, you want to keep all the little (and big feet) safe with the proper footgear.

Mesh Beach Bags – this one comes in a pack of five so you can share with everyone in the family! Great for collecting shells, fossils, plants, and other water trinkets found along the way.

Mesh Fish Net – mesh fish nets are an affordable option for letting the kids catching tadpoles and crawfish in the river. Just don’t forget to get the bait bucket below to accompany it!

Collapsable Bait Bucket – the collapsable feature makes for easy carrying and storage of this bucket. Great to use for catching tadpoles (just don’t forget the fish net above to catch them!)

Water Shoes – these are the most essential item for creek stomping! Prevent slips, cuts, and potential run-ins with water snakes with proper water footwear. You’ll want to get some for the whole family!

Waterproof Phone Bag – it’s better safe than sorry when it comes to water and cell phones. Most of us want to get in good pictures, or at the very least have a cell phone for emergency calls. Keep it protected with one of these waterproof lanyard bags.

Blister Foot Balm – to prevent blisters from the water shoes and hiking, it’s always good to keep one of these on hand. You can apply before creek stomping to prevent blisters.

Water Hydration Pack – stay hydrated with a water pack. Wear like a backpack for easy hauling and accessibility.

Waterproof First Aid Kit – when in nature, you never know what you might encounter. This is another one of those “better safe than sorry” essentials (this one comes in a waterproof bag!)
