The New Harmony Inn: A Unique and Charming Resort in Indiana

The New Harmony Inn Resort and Conference Center is a timeless and peaceful faculty that offers a variety of amenities and services for business and leisure travelers. I spent time here as a leisure traveler and fell in love with the harmonic atmosphere of the inn and community – it’s something straight out of a Hallmark movie. The resort is in the heart of New Harmony, Indiana, a charming town with a rich history and culture.

The New Harmony Inn offers a variety of accommodations, including standard rooms, suites, lofts, and historic guest houses. All rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and many offer stunning views of Swan Lake. The resort also features a fitness center, sauna, heated garden pool, walking trails, rooms with electric fireplaces and balconies, meeting and event services, and more.

My stay at the New Harmony Inn

I stayed in a loft suite in the Rosebank Building during my visit. The suite had a queen-size bed in the loft, an electric fireplace, and a balcony overlooking Swan Lake. I loved enjoying my morning coffee on the patio balcony while watching the birds fly overhead. I also took some time to appreciate the local artwork and sculptures on display along the lake and throughout the inn and town of New Harmony. The area was so quiet and peaceful!

The inn was like a living fairytale, with its whimsical, charming, quaint, artsy, and spiritual atmosphere. Each room is decorated with local artwork and includes local coffee from Black Lodge Roasters.

For easier access, I suggest a standard room or suite. Lofts have a spiral staircase to reach the bed.

The Red Geranium

After eating at the resort’s restaurant, The Red Geranium, I returned to my room and turned on the fireplace. I enjoyed a good book while relaxing in the warm atmosphere. The Red Geranium is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they also serve brunch on the weekends. I had a delicious Harmony Omelet for breakfast and the Pecan Chicken for dinner. Both meals were fantastic, and I had a wonderful view of the lake from my table. During the warmer months, The Red Geranium hosts live music on the patio, a great way to enjoy a meal and the scenery.

The trails surrounding Harmony Inn are a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Along the way, you’ll find a bridge, a waterfall, picnic areas, woods, lake views, and art. Complimentary bicycles are available for guests to use to explore the area. If you’re looking for a more leisurely way to see the sights, consider renting a golf cart from the inn’s front desk. Rental rates are very affordable.

The New Harmony Inn Conference Center

The Conference Center can accommodate groups of up to 400 people. The resort also provides various catering options to guarantee the success of your event. The inn hosts a variety of groups, including musician and writer retreats, group meetings, reunions, bus tour groups, spiritual retreats, and weddings.

In their heyday, the Beach Boys and Willie Nelson used the New Harmony Inn as a retreat before a concert. The New Harmony Inn is the most popular lodging and hotel choice for writers and musicians in Indiana. I thought about how perfect the resort would be for a writer’s retreat!
